It is likely in the "Storage controllers" group. You can find this driver at Support -> Driver Zone page ( ) or directly at ġ) download the above file and extract to a new, empty folder, for example C:\IntelNVMeĢ) you'd need to open Windows Device Management and locate the above mentioned "Standard NVMe Controller". This driver can work generally with any NVMe SSD. Install Intel RST driver 15.7 for the NVMe SSD. Please consult with the manufacturer, hopefully they may provide a specific driver for their NVMe SSD to be used with Windows 7 - as then status detection should immediately work.Īlternatively, you may try the following (only after a backup and/or creating a system restore point, just to be 100% sure):
STANDARD NVME CONTROLLER DRIVER DRIVERS
For some models (Intel, Samsung, Plextor, etc.) there are specific NVMe drivers for Windows 7. The status detection would automatically work under Windows 10 for the same SSD. Generally this driver under Windows 7 has limited support for the NVMe SSDs: the status can't be detected at all. But to make things working, it is required that the operating system and the driver of the NVMe SSD should properly provide the complete status information.Īs displayed on the Information page, the SSD is likely managed by the Standard NVMe controller driver. Generally there should be no problems with such PCIe NVMe SSDs: the latest Hard Disk Sentinel version should be able to access complete status information of course. I can confirm that it is not a bug/limitation of Hard Disk Sentinel software and not really related to the NVMe SSD itself.
